This year, I'll be taking a picture of the boys and putting it on some holiday gift cards along with some other goodies. But what I always do for Christmas, is crochet a blanket for someone, usually a friend. I enjoy it and am so proud of the final "masterpiece"..LOL
Would love to win this:) Good luck to all!
By the way, I'm cowboytf better known as A Cowboy's Wife;)
We always enjoy using whichever family member passes out first from the eggnog .. stringing him/her with holiday lights and ornaments. Maybe not the typical craft .. but it makes for a great photo op. Nothing says Happy Holidays like a little familial blackmail!
When I was a kid, I loved making ornaments out of beads and sequins. I also enjoyed shrinky dinks--you colored pictures on clear plastic and baked them to make little plastic ornaments, etc.!
I've heard so many great things about the epson brand.
Mt favorite holiday art project is to make a photo collage of the holiday memories. Last year it was a large picture frame, this year, I'm hoping to do a scrapbook.
....kinda an art project...but also my favorite thing...is to get out the homemade ornaments my 4 siblings and i made growing up...it's such a warm feeling every year. and also the store purchased ones that for some reason, one of us liked enough to 'want when we got older' and my mom would say 'well, write your name on it.' and so we would. and now, i see these ornaments and even though i like them, i wonder what about that particular ornament made me want it so.
peace.
Leah.

Every year as a child growing up and now with my own children we make gingerbread house. It is such a FUN tradition...and yummy too!
The tradition thay I hold dear is making cards & an ornament with my kids for their teachers...to go with the homemade goodies! :-)

Our favorite art project to do during the holidays with our family and neighbors is to get the children together to pick out a tree in our neighborhood and place a red ornament on the top -- then we all get together to string popcorn, cranberries, and peanut buttered pine cones with bird seed -- when we've made a big enough mess, the adults and children all go for a walk to "the tree" to decorate it for the animals. We then go for daily walks to "the tree" to see what kind of foot prints we see in the snow and how much food the animals have eaten. Luckily we live near conservation land so we tend to find all kinds of interesting animal prints. The children all look forwrd to it every year!

My favorite holiday project is using digital photos and putting together personalized cards for family. I live 3 hours away from everyone so it's a nice way to give them a photo and a greeting all in one :-)
That is one sweet printer. :)

as a holiday craft junkie, i typically choose a new one each year {i've done homemade sweets, tie dyes, letterpress notepads, mixed cd's, photo calendars and more} this year it will be an iMovie DVD and soap {i sure hope that's a good craft project for my 2-year-old to help with ;) }
with delight. We went to bed later that night with smiles and a few glitter specks that didn't was away easily.
and you know my printer woes! magic random comment picker, pick me! pick me!

My boys and I make a little 4 x 6 booklet of photos each year and one of them designs the cover and one designs the back with their own artwork and we fill the pages with the past year. We live in CO and ALL my family lives back east, so this is how we share our favorite memories of the past 12 months. A picture really IS worth 1000 words...no Christmas letters for us!
And how FUN is Kirtsy? Great people supporting great companies. Thank You, Gwen for turning me onto this site. It's my morning cup of tea.
I love to make Christmas cards. I use old Christmas cards I've received from people and make them into beautiful collage cards. It's fun, easy, and unique.
Please, please, please? Thank you!

My favorite christmas craft is making the family snow globe. Each year we would think of a theme for the snow globe and place things in there. The year we had the hurricanes & tornados(I live in FL) we put things in there to make it look like a hurricane had hit the house and even made a blue tarp covered little houses to go in there. So far we have 12 family holiday snow globes and counting.
Happy Holidays!
I have to say that making gingerbread is a Christmas craft that everyone loves around here! (big or little!)
For christmas, we always pulled taffy. it's simple, fun to do with kids, and tastes yummy. Plus it doesn't cost much, since the ingredients are basically molasses, sugar, and butter... here is the exact recipe and how to do it that i remember, on about.com: http://homecooking.about.com/od/candyrecipes/r/bldes74.htm
If you don't like candy, we also baked cookies and made fruitcake, and i still do those things :)
Thanks! Kirtsy user: littlebirdlost
Generic cards yet once again--unless I win this!!
Plus I'm starting my own business--this would help greatly.
